Foundations · Opens November 1 Foundations is a new course from Apex Men of Valor to help you identify and build the kind of relationships with other men that you will need to become the kind of man you've always wanted to be.
Foundations is eleven weeks, a six-minute reading each day, and one real thing to do: reach out to a brother. It starts November 1. Enter your email and the link comes straight to you.

You have been faithful. You have shown up. You have served, led, preached, prayed, and carried the weight of a man who takes his faith seriously. And somewhere in the middle of all of it — quietly, without a name for it — you noticed that the knowing and the living have never quite matched. That is not a character flaw. That is the defining crisis of the Christian man in our time. And it has a way out.
For decades, the church has fed Christian men a steady diet of biblical information — sermons, studies, small groups, books, conferences. And the men have consumed it faithfully. They can articulate the gospel. They can defend the faith. They can quote the texts. And most of them will tell you, if you sit with them long enough, that none of it has changed them the way they expected it to.
This is not a knowledge problem. The information was sound. The men were sincere. The gap exists because there is a distance between the mind that holds a truth and the heart that is held by it — and no amount of additional information closes that distance.
What closes it is encounter. Personal, honest, unguarded encounter with the God who is not impressed by what you know about Him — and who has been waiting, patiently and with complete love, for you to stop performing and simply arrive.
The man who has spent forty years in the church and has never been genuinely changed by it is not a failure. He is a man who has never been shown the door that leads from information into transformation. That door exists. It has always been open.
"And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
John 17:3 — ESV
The man on the other side of real encounter is not perfect. He is not polished. He is not a finished product. He is a man who has stopped hiding — from God, from himself, from the brothers beside him — and who has discovered that grace is exactly what it claims to be: sufficient, specific, and transforming.
He prays differently. Not the rehearsed words of a man performing for an audience, but the honest, sometimes broken words of a man who has learned that God meets him there — in the unguarded place, not the polished one. His marriage has more truth in it. His faith has more weight. The younger men around him sense something different, and they cannot quite name it, but they lean toward it.
That man is not an ideal. He is what happens when a man stops accumulating knowledge about God and starts actually drawing near to Him. The Apex Personal Transformation System exists to create the conditions for that encounter — through three disciplines that address the whole man.
Three disciplines. One cohort. An integrated path through the inner world, the disciplined life, and the brotherhood that refuses to let a man settle. Each course has its own waitlist — join the one that is calling you first.
The relational discipline. Covenant brotherhood that refuses to let a man hide, coast, or perform — real accountability from men who know the whole story and stay anyway.
The action discipline. Daily practice that closes the gap between conviction and action until obedience becomes identity — not effort repeated, but character forged.
The inner-world discipline. A structured daily practice that moves truth from a man's head to his heart — surfacing what his defenses keep hidden and bringing it honestly before God.
Each discipline stands on its own. Together, they address the whole man — his inner world, his daily action, and the brothers he cannot do this without.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
You will finally have language for what has been missing. Not just that transformation is supposed to happen — but the specific, biblical mechanism by which God actually changes a man. You will know what you are in the middle of.
The gap between your knowledge and your life stops being a source of quiet shame. It becomes a site of honest, directed work. You will stop performing around it and start moving through it.
You will stop cycling through the same patterns and losing ground. When you understand how change actually happens, you can stay in the process instead of starting over every time you fall short.
You will walk away with something worth passing on — a framework clear enough to give to your sons, your Circle, the younger men watching your life. Not just your example. Your understanding.
The Apex PTS is for the man who has been faithful — and who is honest enough to admit that faithfulness alone has not produced the transformation he was promised.
You do not need to be at your worst to belong here. You need to be willing to be honest.
If you are a Christian man in the second half of life, have followed God for decades, and still feel the gap — this is for you.
[Replace with real words from a PTS participant before launch. His experience of the gap before, the moment the framework landed, what is different now. Keep it in his language.]
